The NEoN Digital Arts Festival 2009 was the first of its kind in Dundee and thanks to its success, started what would become an exciting yearly event.
Highlights from the 2009 festival included talks from Dave Jones (father of Grand Theft Auto and Lemmings), Graham Lineham (writer of Father Ted and The IT Crowd) and Bud Luckey (Pixar genius who is responsible for Toy Story, Incredibles, Boundin and much more), who sadly passed away in 2018.
Alongside the main NEoN event, many fringe events took place across the city. These included an exhibition in the Hannah Maclure Centre, Extreme Human Shepherding, A Clash Magazine band night in Fat Sams and Videogames Live in the Caird Hall.
