Volunteering Opportunities with NEoN Digital Arts Festival
Recruitment Night – 10th October, 6pm – 7.30pm
This year NEoN is 10! We couldn’t have made it this far without the invaluable and inspiring help from all of our wonderful volunteers over the past 10 years. For our 2018 festival, with the theme Lifespans, we are once again looking for some amazing, dedicated volunteers to help make NEoN bigger and better than ever!
We are hosting an informal volunteer recruitment night (with pizza) for those interested in joining our volunteer team. Whether you have volunteered many times before or know very little about what we do at NEoN we would really love you to come along and find out more!
NEoN Digital Arts Festival 2018 is running from 6th – 11th November, however we are looking for volunteers to help from 22nd October (install) til around 22nd November (extra invigilation for longer running exhibitions and de-stall). Whether you can only do a couple of days during the festival, are an install/des-stall expert or want to help out for an entire month we would love to hear from you.
NEoN is spread across various locations around Dundee & we have various shifts available.
We have a number of festival placements that will provide an excellent opportunity to work alongside leaders in the digital arts world at the same time as gaining invaluable experience. Here are some of the following roles that you can get involved in:
• Activity room & workshop assistants
• Front of house & invigilation
• Installation team
• Stewarding
• Flyering & promotion
• Social Media and web communication
If there are any other areas that you have particular skills in or would like to learn more about we encourage you to let us know. We want to help you as much as you help us!
