3G Flatland tells the story of a fictional social media traffic tracking system, which is used to gain new insights into the population and social structure of cities. Employing a form of experimental story telling, three walks through Dundee explore different modes of virtual access to the city, and examine how digital urban space changes the perception of our physical environment. The works discusses the question how market interests shape virtual representations of cities and how that interrelates with physical space.
